As best I can determine the house that is now our cottage was built in 1893 as a 3-room house.  It had a living room, bedroom and Kitchen with an outhouse and cistern in the backyard. In the 1920's a new kitchen was added and the old kitchen was converted into a bedroom and bath.  The current asphalt siding was laid over the wood siding in the 1950's and it continued as a home until the 1990s when it was converted into an antique shop for a few years. (There is a sign on our living room wall from the antique shop.)  In 2007 Boob (yes, Boob) bought it and began readying it for a rental house when we bought it from him. We have been open since March 2008 and are loving it!
