We built a new fence!

As I mentioned in my last post, we went to Hermann this past weekend and put up a new picket fence along the front of the house and it turned out GREAT! That along with the new shutters really give the house some dimension.  It was a lot of work though, on Thursday I tore down the old fence and set the new posts while Christy primed and ready the fence. On Friday, we primed the posts, hung the fence and painted it, then on Saturday we finished the details, hung the new shutters, cleaned the yard and did some minor repairs.

The apple trees have to wait a little longer as do the screen doors and landscaping.  There is only so much time in the day and money in my wallet.

Even though we worked hard, we found time for some fun too.  Friday night we went out to The River's Edge for dinner, even though we had to drive the long route. (Be advised, the ferry operator passed away and it is not running as the estate goes through probate.)  Saturday night we had some neighbors over for a cookout.  That was a lot of fun, there are great people in Hermann!  We even got out on our bikes Sunday and logged 15 miles for our first ride of the season.

Buddy Likes his new fence and the Daffodils that opened this weekend!
