May is just around the corner

May is a fantastic time to be in Hermann. The trees are fresh, the flowers are blooming and the weather is great. You will really enjoy the wine gardens when the scent of flowers are wafting through the air as you drink your favorite wine.
Some events going on in May are:
May 2nd & 3rd
Norton Wine Trail - Travel from winery to winery sampling Nortons from each. I am sure you will find your favorite, but mine is Bomarito Norton Port, so make sure you try it. tickets can be purchase through the Hermann Tourism Bureau for $30 each.
May 8th
Hermann Palooza - At Clara Eitman Messmer Amphitheatre, featuring five area bands including Hermann High School Jazz Band. No admission. Sponsored by Hermann Arts Council.
May 15th - 17th
Maifest - A wonderful small town festival in the tradition of days gone by. Music, food, games and parades that are fun for the whole family.
Maifest Living History Weekend at Deutschheim - Demonstrations of 19th century skills around site by costumed artisans.
Maifest Quilt Show - Quilt Show, organized by the Nimble Thimble, with 50-60 quilts on display at Hermannhof Hofgarten. Children's quilting and other activities.
May 16th
Borderline perform at Oak Glenn - The outdoor stage will be a great place for music.
May 25th
Hermann City Band Memorial Day Concert - Hermann City Band offers rousing Memorial Day tribute at Clara Eitmann Messmer Amphitheater.
May 30th - June 3rd
Semi-annual Meadow Muffin Tournament - What’s a Meadow Muffin Tournament? We provide the golf club and wiffle golf ball and you are off! We’ll have a mini course set up on the premises, and the golfer with the lowest score wins.
