During your next visit the Hermann be sure to stop in the Kunstlerhaus Art Gallery at 207 E. First St.  You will be impress with the quality of art available there. There items include photography, pottery, paintings and weaving from local artists.  Granted, some of the work can be a bit "crafty", but a lot if it is outstanding fine works of American folk art.  My favorite pieces are David Ludig's painted targets and Keith Baumstark.s Furniture. I did not realize that there is a tradition of painting targets in America and I think David's are wonderful. Keith's furniture is also very exciting and well crafted.
