I know that summer is half over, but don't forget about the pool.  The Hermann community pool is located in the Hermann City Park only a few blocks away from the cottage and open to visitors as well as residence.  The entry fee is only $3 a person and includes a baby pool, a diving board and a 3 ft section for general frolicking.  At certain times the pool is available for adult lap swim, too.
